A Mother's Cry
My existence is essential to the existence of all my children.
My work is beneficial to them
To provide, to share, to nourish
The majority, appreciative they are
They tend to my beauty; they appreciate my full existence
Yet some have neglected me
Hurt me, filled my eyes with shame and sorrow
My beauty they continue to destroy
The very things put in place for their survival
Gone they are with the wind.
Everywhere my demise is clear, yet few pay attention
But I will not give up
There is hope, that the children of today and tomorrow
Will me remember me, protect and admire me
